Robert has worked as a geriatric social worker and lobbyist for over 30 years, developing and coordinating programs for homebound seniors and people with disabilities, older adults, and volunteers. He is the past president for the Florida Chapter of the Society for Social Work Leaders in Health Care.
Enjoying both journalism and human services, Robert combined both interests into publishing newsletters for nonprofit organizations. He writes “The Savvy Senior” column in the Century Village-Boca Raton newspaper. He has published several newsletters and resource guides. Robert has had articles published in the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel and authored “Advocacy Guide and Toolkit for Florida Social Workers and Mental Health Professionals” published by National Association of Social Workers (NASW).


Robert presents workshops on Locating & Accessing Community Resources, Advocacy, the Legislative Process, and Aging & Disability and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Robert currently lives in Boca Raton, Florida with his daughter, Eliana.

Robert Goodman, MSW

Robert Goodman was raised in North Miami Beach and is a graduate of Florida State University and Hunter College School of Social Work in New York. He has an MSW in Community Organizing and Administration.
